EVERETT FOX will create poetic and narrative renderings of original texts
for calligraphic inclusion in the illuminated pages. He is author of the
acclaimed The Schocken Bible, lauded by Jon
D. Levenson of the Harvard Divinity School as a major achievement in the
history of English translations of the Bible.
Professor Fox holds an endowed chair at Clark University as the Allen M. Glick Professor of Judaic and Biblical Studies. Professor Fox was special consultant to the film The Prince of Egypt. He has written and lectured extensively on biblical narrative and translation. His published works include Give Us A King: The Book of Samuel (Schocken) and a collection of essays by Martin Buber and Franz Rosenzweig.
